Around 22% of all listed companies worldwide operate in line with the Paris Climate Agreement. This means that the proportion has more than doubled in recent years.

This is the conclusion of an analysis by the US financial services provider MSCI. More than 4,400 listed companies from all over the world were included in the study, including some Swiss companies.

According to the financial services provider, Kuehne+Nagel, Novartis, Roche, Swisscom, Swiss Re and Zurich, among others, are compatible with the climate protection agreement. However, most companies in the Swiss Market Index are not on course for the 1.5 degree target.

In order to calculate the so-called implied temperature increase per company, MSCI takes various data points into account, including CO2 reduction targets and emission forecasts.
