Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi has announced the conclusion of several new security agreements. "We are still preparing seven new security documents for our country - bilateral security agreements," said Zelenskyi in his daily video address on Wednesday, "including with the USA". The details regarding arms deliveries, financial aid and political cooperation are currently being worked out. The agreements would support the country this year and the next and set out the security architecture until the desired NATO accession. "Of course, everything that offers more protection against Russian terror has special priority," said Selenskyj. He did not provide any further details or countries.

According to Selensky, Ukraine is also preparing intensively for talks on EU accession. The 46-year-old assured that the country had already fulfilled its part of the obligations in order to be able to begin concrete accession negotiations in June. However, work would continue in order to avoid delays and misunderstandings.

Selenskyj's third point was the planned peace conference in Switzerland. The final touches were agreed there in order to exert as much pressure as possible on Russia. We must all work together to force Russia to make peace." If the world acted together and as many heads of state and government as possible took part in the conference, this could succeed, said Selensky.
