Skyguide elects Aldo Schellenberg as new Chairman of the Board of Directors

The Annual General Meeting of the air navigation service provider Skyguide has elected Aldo C. Schellenberg as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. He replaces Walter Vogel, who is stepping down after nine years in office, as the company, which is owned by the Swiss Confederation, announced on Wednesday.

The new Skyguide President Schellenberg has held various positions in the Swiss Armed Forces, most recently as Corps Commander and Deputy Chief of the Armed Forces as well as Head of Operations Command. According to the press release, the doctor of economics also holds a CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) in General Management for Boards of Directors.

In addition to outgoing Chairman Vogel, Vice Chairman Anne Bobillier also stepped down from the Skyguide Board of Directors after ten years. By contrast, Linda de Winter, Chief Information Officer (CIO) and member of the Executive Board of Swisscard AECS, and Annette Rinck, President and CEO of Leica Microsystems, were newly elected to the Board of Directors.
