Ticino cantonal police have arrested a student at a vocational school in Bellinzona. The student allegedly threatened a teacher and may have been carrying a weapon. The incident led to the evacuation of the pupils.

The school management raised the alarm at around 11 a.m., as reported by the cantonal police on Monday. Along with the Bellinzona municipal police, they responded to the commercial vocational school, evacuating the building for safety reasons.

The underage pupil was arrested in the school building at 11:30 a.m. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The investigation continued after midday, keeping the school building closed until further notice. Details about the motive and the exact events remain undisclosed.
