19-year-old seriously injured by “pyro” at European Championship party in Payerne VD

A young man was seriously injured by a homemade pyrotechnic object in Payerne VD on Thursday evening. The accident occurred during the celebrations after a European Football Championship match.
A passer-by provided first aid and was assisted by the police. The 19-year-old was then taken to the hospital in Payerne by paramedics and then flown by helicopter to Lausanne University Hospital (Chuv), according to the Vaud cantonal police.
