37-year-old missing after inflatable boat accident near Rheinau ZH

One person is missing after an inflatable boat accident on the Rhine near Rheinau ZH. A 28-year-old Swiss woman and a 37-year-old German man were washed over the weir at Rheinau on the evening of the incident.
A passer-by rescued the Swiss woman from the floods, as the Zurich cantonal police reported on Wednesday. She was taken to hospital. The German man has not been found and is considered missing.
Rega carried out several search flights. Fire departments from Switzerland and Germany were also involved in the search. Around 100 firefighters were deployed.
The search was called off around midnight. The search for the missing man resumed on Wednesday morning. The accident occurred at around 9.30 pm.
