Flight operations at BER are gradually starting up again. The systems are up and running again. However, it will still take some time before everything runs smoothly again.

Following technical problems at the capital's BER airport, flight operations are gradually resuming. "The airport's systems have been restarted and we are gradually returning to normal operations," a spokeswoman said. "There are still waiting times." Individual flights have been canceled by the airlines.

Since around 7.00 a.m., there have been considerable restrictions at BER due to the global IT problems at an external provider. "Passenger handling continued with restrictions in some cases. Departures took place to a limited extent." However, many take-offs and landings were postponed or even canceled.

Computer problems are currently causing widespread disruption worldwide. For example, landings at Zurich Airport are currently no longer possible.
