Police discover three dead after shooting in Vétroz VS

After shots were fired in the Valais municipality of Vétroz, police have discovered three dead bodies in two houses. Two people were found lifeless in an apartment. Another person was also discovered dead in another residential building, as the police reported on X.
The authorities did not initially comment on the background to the incident or any further details. According to the Valais cantonal police, there was no danger to the population.
According to the police, several shots were fired in the municipality in Lower Valais on Sunday. The police then launched a large-scale operation.
The road through the village was temporarily closed, as a police spokesperson told the Keystone-SDA news agency on request. Cars were then able to travel normally again.
The municipality of Vétroz is located in the French-speaking part of the canton of Valais. It is characterized by vineyards on the sunny slopes of the Rhone Valley and has over 6000 inhabitants.
