Company formations down in July

More companies were founded in Switzerland in July 2024 compared to the same month last year. At 4548 companies, 6.5% more companies were entered in the commercial register than in July 2023.
This positive trend underlines the continued dynamism and confidence of entrepreneurs in the market, the business directory Help.ch reported on Wednesday. Compared to the previous month, however, there was a small drop of 1 percent.
In contrast, a total of 3059 company closures were registered in July 2024 - an increase of 17.6% compared to July 2023. According to Help.ch, this trend indicates increased fluctuation in the corporate sector.
