At their delegates' meeting on Saturday, the Green Liberals also adopted the slogans for two voting proposals on November 24. The expansion of the national roads was clearly rejected. The delegates voted almost unanimously in favor of the uniform financing of outpatient and inpatient services (EFAS) in the healthcare system.

The delegates clearly rejected the federal resolution on the 2023 expansion phase for the motorways with 20 votes in favor, 106 against and 10 abstentions.

An expansion of the national road network would lead to even more motorized private transport. Various delegates explained that the GLP is in favor of intelligent transport systems and mobility pricing instead of more and more lanes.

The parliamentary group rejected the overall proposal by 15:0 with one abstention. The sections have so far rejected the planned expansion steps in their region. A corresponding decision is still pending in Basel-Stadt.

One delegate from Basel-Stadt campaigned in vain for a Yes vote, arguing that Basel-Stadt had a lot of catching up to do in terms of rail and highway expansion and that the population was under heavy strain from through traffic. The region was hoping for an expansion of the national roads.

Clear yes to Efas

The delegates voted almost unanimously in favor of the uniform financing of outpatient and inpatient services (Efas) in the healthcare system. The "yes" vote was passed with 127 votes in favor, 0 against and 1 abstention.

Zurich National Councillor Jörg Mäder described the Efas as a "clean-up bill to reduce false incentives in the healthcare system and its financing". The parliamentary group and the party executive were convinced of the need for a change in the system and proposed a "yes" vote.

On November 24, voters will decide on the reform of healthcare financing, the expansion of the highway network and two proposals for changes to tenancy law.
