Great joy and zest for action at the ESC venue Basel

On Friday, representatives of the Basel government, Basel Tourism and SRG met at Basel City Hall to discuss the details of hosting the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2025.
Government President Conradin Cramer (LDP) said that he was "boundlessly delighted" and could no longer stop smiling. The spirit of Basel was ultimately convincing. It will be a celebration - and not just for the people who have a ticket for the main events.
The hotels in Basel are already fully booked during the ESC days, said Franz-Xaver Leonhardt, President of the Basel Hoteliers' Association, to the Keystone-SDA news agency.
Basel will host the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in May 2025. Geneva was defeated in the selection process, as announced by SRG on Friday. The decision was met with great joy in Basel, while Geneva, which lost out, was very disappointed.
