5-year-old girl dies in accident with truck in Oberrieden ZH

A 5-year-old girl was killed in a traffic accident in Oberrieden ZH shortly before 12 noon on Monday. For reasons as yet unexplained, a truck hit the child in the area of a pedestrian crossing.
When the emergency services arrived, they were only able to determine that the 5-year-old had died, according to the Zurich cantonal police. Together with the public prosecutor's office, they are investigating the cause of the accident.
Care teams looked after the relatives and people involved. The accident occurred on the old country road. The 40-year-old truck driver was traveling in the direction of Thalwil.
