Accident on the Lüderenalp in Langnau BE causes fatalities

One person died in an accident on Lüderenalp in the Bernese municipality of Langnau on Friday morning. For reasons still to be clarified, the car collided with a wall, then rolled down a slope and caught fire.
Formal identification of the deceased was still pending on Friday evening, according to the cantonal police. However, there were concrete indications of her identity, it added.
The cantonal police have launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
