Trees fallen on the A2 in the direction of Chiasso TI

The Gotthard tunnel in the direction of Chiasso TI had to be closed late on Friday evening due to fallen trees. The road was narrowed to one lane, as the Touring Club Switzerland announced on the short message service X.
At the same time, there was a two-kilometer traffic jam on the A2 between Wassen and Göschenen UR, with travelers losing around 20 minutes, according to the TCS.
