Former inn in Schleitheim SH completely destroyed after fire

The former Gasthof Post in Schleitheim SH went up in flames on Tuesday night: According to the police, the historic building was completely destroyed. No one was injured.
At around 3.15 a.m., a report was received that the attic of a barn in Schleitheim was on fire, according to the Schaffhausen police on Tuesday morning. When the fire department arrived, both the barn and the adjoining former inn were already fully engulfed in flames.
The fire department was subsequently able to bring the fire under control and protect the neighboring buildings from the flames, according to the press release.
The Schaffhausen police spoke of a "major fire" on Tuesday morning. As far as is currently known, no one has been injured. The amount of property damage and the cause of the fire are also still unknown. The corresponding investigations have been started.
Members of the Randental, Schaffhausen, Mittelklettgau and Neuhausen Oberklettgau fire department associations as well as the Upper Canton fire department and the German Stühlingen fire department were deployed. In addition, staff from the rescue service of the Schaffhausen hospitals, the EKS, the Intercantonal Laboratory and members of the Schaffhausen cantonal fire police and the Schaffhausen police were on site.
