Sri Lankan arrested for alleged murder of his wife

The Ticino cantonal police have arrested a 44-year-old man for the suspected murder of his wife. According to the police and public prosecutor's office, the body of the Sri Lankan citizen's wife was discovered in Chiasso in mid-September.
The man is accused of murder and subordinate charges of premeditated murder. The 44-year-old was arrested last Thursday following an interrogation.
The investigation into the course of events is not yet complete, according to the Ticino public prosecutor's office. Further technical and scientific investigations and forensic examinations are being carried out and witness statements are being collected.
