21-year-old stabs 25-year-old in Mendrisio

A 21-year-old Swiss man tried to rob a 25-year-old Italian man in Mendrisio on Monday night. When the victim fought back, the Swiss man stabbed the Italian in the side with a knife. He suffered serious injuries. The suspected perpetrator was arrested.
This was announced by the Ticino cantonal police on Monday morning. Both police investigations and witness statements led to the arrest of the 21-year-old in his apartment. The murder weapon was also found there. He will be charged with attempted intentional homicide, simple grievous bodily harm, robbery and violation of the Narcotics Act.
