Over 300 members and activists of the green movement discussed new economic and social models in Biel on Saturday. They aim to make the world a fairer place.

"The world is facing profound changes and we want to actively shape them," Green Party President Lisa Mazzone is quoted as saying in a press release on the first "Sommet du changement". It is to be held annually in future. The event was held under the motto of the post-growth future.

In order to realize this vision, ambitious goals and a plan for implementation are needed. The Greens are working on these together with international experts and allies from civil society.

These included the co-president of the Club of Rome, Sandrine Dixson-Declève, the economist Irmi Seidl, the sociologist Nikolaj Schultz and the doctor and founder of Health for Future Switzerland, Bea Albermann. The results are to be used in parliamentary and extra-parliamentary work.
