The German Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) and Federal Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP) arrived at the Chancellery in Berlin again this afternoon to continue discussing economic and budgetary policy with Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD).

This was observed by a reporter from the German Press Agency. There is talk of a premature end to the traffic light coalition. The three politicians had already discussed the matter in a small circle in the morning. For days, Scholz has been inviting people to meetings to discuss the future of the coalition.

Specifically, gaps still need to be closed before the decisive meeting of the Budget Committee on the 2025 budget on November 14. In the evening, the coalition committee will then meet in a larger round, which will also include the party and parliamentary group leaders of the SPD, Greens and FDP.
