Switzerland remains one of the world's most attractive locations for internationally active entrepreneurs. This is according to the "Global Entrepreneurial Wealth Report 2024" published by HSBC.

As the bank writes in a press release published on Thursday, Switzerland is the first choice for entrepreneurs who want to relocate all or part of their assets abroad. The study surveyed 1,798 wealthy business owners in ten countries, including 166 active Swiss entrepreneurs.

More than half of the Swiss participants are optimistic about the development of their personal wealth. Swiss entrepreneurs cite inflation as their biggest concern, followed by environmental issues and a decline in moral values, i.e. a disregard for ethical standards. When it comes to the use of their assets, investments, savings and real estate are in the foreground.

The study also highlights the need for action in succession planning. More than half of the Swiss entrepreneurs surveyed have not yet drawn up a plan for company or asset succession. A lack of trust in the next generation was cited as the biggest obstacle.
