The "Beobachter" magazine's Prix Courage 2024 goes to Chantal Britt. She founded the patient organization Long Covid Switzerland.
"She is fighting for those affected throughout the country", wrote the "Beobachter" in a press release late on Thursday evening. She is now being honored for her commitment with the Prix Courage 2024.
In March 2020, Chantal Britt contracted coronavirus herself. When the symptoms persisted, her life suddenly changed. In the fall, she founded a Facebook group with other sufferers, and six months later Long Covid Switzerland. "The patient organization became the voice of a group of people who are all too often forgotten," writes the Beobachter.
The Prix Courage is endowed with 15,000 Swiss francs.
