The victim in the Zurich Loverboy trial explained to the High Court on Monday how she came to terms with the events. The woman, who is now an adult, also sought contact with her alleged tormentor - and gave him gifts.
Last year, the victim repeatedly sought to get close to the 23-year-old main accused. She went to his apartment, rang the doorbell, once put down a rose and once a bracelet. She had hoped for a hug at the time.
But she emphasized that she no longer had any feelings for him: "I just wanted to talk to him to get closure." She no longer goes to therapy.
This case is a drastic example of what is known as loverboy abuse. "Loverboys" are men who make girls or women who are in love with them dependent and exploit them.
They often pressure the victims to have sex with others - as was the case in this case from Winterthur. In addition to the 23-year-old, four of his "bros", i.e. colleagues who were involved in the assaults, are also accused.
