The Sustenpass road between Wassen UR and Innertkirchen BE remains closed on Monday due to a rockfall that occurred on Saturday night. Snow and fog have prevented the necessary clean-up work at the site of the rockfall. The Baudirektion Uri has stated that work will begin as soon as the weather improves. According to Angel Sanchez, head of communication for the Baudirektion, only small loose stones need to be removed and no rockfall prevention measures are necessary. The rockfall occurred at the Sustenbrüggli, about two kilometers below the pass summit. Six to eight cubic meters of rock detached, but only a small part fell onto the road. There were no damages to the road surface. The 45 kilometer long road is closed between the Sustenbrüggli and the pass summit.nnnn
