Bosch Switzerland maintained its turnover last year despite economic challenges and a “complex geopolitical situation.” The Swiss subsidiary of the German Bosch Group reported sales of 830 million Swiss francs on the Swiss market and in Liechtenstein for 2023.

This figure shows that sales remained stable compared to the previous year. Including deliveries to Group subsidiaries, the total net sales were slightly lower at 1.57 billion Swiss francs.

The Bosch Group in Switzerland includes Scintilla, Bosch Rexroth Switzerland, Sia Abrasives Industries, and BSH Hausgeräte. The Group operates production facilities in St. Niklaus and Frauenfeld, employing around 2200 associates in Switzerland.

Growth With Heat Pumps

Bosch achieved moderate growth in the “Mobility” division last year. The “Energy and Building Technology” division benefited from the trend towards heat pumps, while the “Industrial Technology” division recorded strong sales growth.

Sales of power tools and household appliances were less successful. Bosch noted that consumers in Switzerland were very cautious, and the construction industry performed poorly.

Looking ahead, Bosch Group’s representative in Switzerland, Ute Lepple, indicated that 2024 is expected to be just as challenging as 2023, with only slight growth anticipated.
