Un violent incendie à Domat/Ems GR entraîne la destruction totale de deux écuries et endommage des bâtiments résidentiels.
A fire broke out in a stable in the village center of Domat/Ems GR on Monday and spread to other buildings. Despite a large-scale operation by the fire department, two stables burned down completely. Two residential buildings were also damaged, one of them extensively.
The fire was reported to the cantonal police shortly before 07:00 in the morning, according to the police. Fire departments from Domat/Ems and the town of Chur as well as the Ems-Chemie plant fire department arrived with around 120 firefighters.
Despite the rapid intervention, the firefighters were unable to prevent the flames from spreading to the other buildings, the police wrote. After around three hours, however, the fires were mostly under control.
No people were injured. Three people were examined for suspected smoke inhalation, but were all able to return home after the examination.
In addition to the fire department, employees from the Office for Nature and the Environment, the municipality of Domat/Ems and the Chur Rescue Service were on duty. Residents were looked after by the Care Team Grischun. All vehicle traffic on the main road through the village was diverted on a large scale.
