Komax Deepens Its Roots in China’s E-Mobility Landscape

Komax Group, a titan in automated wire processing and innovative manufacturer based in Lucerne, has made a strategic move to cement its presence in the Chinese market.

The acquisition of a 56% stake in Hosver, a top Chinese manufacturer known for its high-voltage cable processing machinery, marks a pivotal expansion. This machinery is crucial for electric and hybrid vehicles, an industry witnessing explosive growth in China.

The transaction is set to finalise, according to a press release by Komax, in the second quarter of 2024. Komax, with its expansive team of over 3,500 employees, is complemented by Hosver. Established in 2014 and headquartered in Suzhou, Hosver enhances the partnership with its strong workforce and specialized engineering capabilities.

Komax’s CEO, Matijas Meyer, expressed confidence in this partnership enhancing their position in China’s burgeoning e-mobility sector, aligning with their Strategy 2028. This move not only strengthens Komax’s foothold in the e-mobility domain but also promises rapid adaptation to the dynamic market needs of China, thanks to Hosver’s engineering prowess.

Komax, headquartered in Dierikon, Switzerland, is renowned for its global leadership in wire processing automation, offering a broad spectrum of production systems, quality assurance, and networking solutions.
