Four Turks have been stopped by Graubünden cantonal police on the A13 near Trimmis GR on Sunday night. Two of them are accused of trying to smuggle the other two into a neighboring Swiss country. They were turned away and charged.

The four men were driving in a car redeemed in Austria late Saturday evening from Trimmis in the direction of Landquart when they were stopped and checked by police, authorities said Friday.

The suspicion that the two Turks, aged 37 and 38, who live in Austria, could be traffickers was substantiated, they said. The other two 26- and 27-year-old passengers did not have Swiss visas.

The Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG) was called in for further control. Meanwhile, the Office for Migration and Civil Law issued a deportation order. Two-year entry bans were imposed on the suspected smugglers, and they will also be reported to the Graubünden public prosecutor’s office.
