49-year-old ski tourer dies in avalanche in Davos GR

A 49-year-old ski tourer died in an avalanche in Davos GR on Saturday. A second was seriously injured, as the Graubünden cantonal police announced on Sunday.
Two different avalanches buried the ski tourers above Davos Monstein on Saturday afternoon. According to the police, all help came too late for the 49-year-old.
The seriously injured man was a 57-year-old Swiss national. The rescue services were able to locate him and dig him out. Seriously injured, he was transported by helicopter to the cantonal hospital in Chur.
