A 68-Year-Old Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in a Collision in Sur GR

On Friday afternoon in Sur GR, a 68-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a head-on collision with an oncoming car. A rescue helicopter flew the Italian to the Cantonal Hospital of Graubünden in Chur. The collision occurred at 11.50 am on the National Road N3, according to the Cantonal Police of Graubünden. The man was part of a four-person motorcycle group travelling from Savognin to the Engadin. According to police reports, he entered a right curve shortly before Sur and collided with the oncoming car of a 71-year-old Swiss. The slightly injured passenger in the car went to medical treatment on her own. During the work on the accident site, the national road was closed for about an hour and then only passable in both directions for almost thirty minutes. Twelve emergency personnel from the road rescue of the Surses fire brigade collected leaking vehicle fluids. The totally damaged motorcycle was loaded and transported away.
