The "Aargauer Zeitung" and other daily newspapers from the CH-Media publishing house write online about the SP Federal Council election two-ticket:
"It is a surprise. In the run-up to the election, it was expected that the only woman in the field of candidates, Bernese government councillor Evi Allemann, would have a good chance. But now the SP is sending two men into the race to succeed Alain Berset, two men who represent two generations. (. . .) The defeat is bitter for Evi Allemann. The Bernese government councillor had already run to succeed Simonetta Sommaruga in 2022, but narrowly failed to make it onto the ticket. Now she has failed again in the parliamentary group.
Tamara Funiciello, SP National Councillor and Co-President of SP Women, had campaigned for a female candidate. 'I'm disappointed,' she says. 'Evi Allemann was a top candidate with a curriculum that is second to none. But given the field of candidates, it was clear that it would be difficult."
