47,000 fans in the sold-out Letzigrund in Zurich were electrified from the first sounds of AC/DC. Neither the rain nor the Swiss national team playing almost simultaneously kept the fans away from the Australian rock legends' concert.
His hair has thinned out, but 69-year-old guitarist Angus Young still wears his trademark school uniform and shorts on stage. Together with singer Brian Johnson (with the band since 1980), the last AC/DC founding member drew the crowds from the very beginning.
Pure rock'n'roll awaited the spectators, many of whom wore flashing devil horns. It started punctually after the end of the national team's match against Italy before 8 pm with the classics "If You Want Blood (You've Got It)" and "Back in Black".
For Johnson, the gig is a return. The singer had to cancel the last AC/DC tour in 2016, which also took him to the Wankdorf in Bern, due to severe hearing problems.
