"From our point of view, the restrictions are unavoidable and localized," said the commander of the Nidwalden cantonal police, Stephan Grieder, on Monday regarding the upcoming Ukraine conference on the Bürgenstock.
The Nidwalden cantonal police are aware that the local population and tradespeople will be restricted in their everyday lives this coming weekend. However, the restrictions are limited to the area around the Bürgenstock, says Grieder.
The Nidwalden cantonal police have completed their preparations and are ready. Cooperation with the federal partners - such as the army, the Federal Office of Police, the Federal Office for Cyber Security and the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security - is going well. Risks of all kinds are constantly being analyzed and, if necessary, the risk plan is being adjusted.
