Retour au fil d'actualité

On Saturday, long traffic jams formed once again at the north portal of the Gotthard motorway A2. The queue reached a length of up to ten kilometres, causing delays of up to one hour and forty minutes for travellers. The Touring Club of Switzerland (TCS) attributed the traffic jam between Erstfeld and Göschenen in the canton of Uri to traffic overload, as reported on the short message service X, formerly Twitter. In the afternoon, the length of the traffic jam between Amsteg and Göschenen decreased to seven kilometres and the waiting time was reduced to one hour. There were also traffic jams at the south portal of the Gotthard. In the late afternoon, the TCS reported a queue of four kilometres between Quito and Airolo, with a waiting time of up to 30 minutes. On Friday, a traffic jam of 14 kilometres had already occurred at the north portal of the Gotthard due to an accident in the tunnel.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
