Agreement on payment card for asylum seekers in Germany

After weeks of dispute, the German government factions have agreed on a draft for a Germany-wide legal basis for the introduction of a payment card for refugees.
This was announced by the SPD, Greens and FDP on Friday. The draft states that the payment card is a suitable means of preventing money payments to smugglers, for example.
