Alleged perpetrator turns himself in after hit-and-run

A 65-year-old woman has been seriously injured in a traffic accident in Moudon VD. The alleged perpetrator, an 80-year-old man, has now handed himself in to the police.
The pedestrian was hit by a gray car on Thursday morning and seriously injured by the collision, the Vaud cantonal police reported on Friday. The driver initially fled the scene and could not be arrested.
The alleged perpetrator then handed himself in on Thursday evening and is said to live in the Moudon region. The public prosecutor's office opened an investigation.
