Apparent crash landing of a military aircraft at Emmen LU airfield

An incident involving an army aircraft occurred at the Emmen LU military airfield on Tuesday afternoon. This was confirmed by both the Lucerne cantonal police and the Department of Defense, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS).
Photos in media reports showed a damaged Swiss Army propeller plane. Neither the DDPS nor the Lucerne cantonal police provided any information on the course of the accident. It was also unclear whether there were any casualties. The DDPS promised a media release.
