Army Tank Falls into a Canal in Valais

On Friday afternoon, a tank from the Swiss Army crashed into a canal in Fully, in the canton of Wallis. Three people were slightly injured and taken to hospital for control. Army spokeswoman Delphine Schwab-Allemand confirmed the information reported by several media outlets. Three army personnel were on board the M113 tank. Two were able to get out on their own, while the third was rescued by civilian rescue teams. The cause of the tank leaving the road and crashing into the canal was initially unknown. The military justice has launched an investigation.
