Around 1000 people on duty after storm in Ticino

According to estimates by the Ticino emergency services, around 1000 people have been deployed in the upper Maggia Valley since the storm last weekend. This includes numerous people who are helping "behind the scenes".
However, it is difficult to give an exact figure, said Antonio Ciocco, head of the Ticino emergency services, at a media conference in Locarno early on Monday evening. Between 60 and 80 people were already on duty in the road maintenance sector alone.
We must not forget all those people who are working "behind the scenes" and helping neighbors or elderly people in the villages affected by the storm.
