AVH: Greens see red card for bourgeois parties

The Greens see the Yes to the 13th AHV pension as a red card to the conservative parties, which unanimously rejected the initiative. Empty promises are no longer enough. Concrete measures are needed for a dignified life in retirement age.
"We are currently experiencing a historic Sunday. The electorate wants a more social Switzerland," the party wrote in a communiqué. However, the majority of the Federal Council and parliament are planning further social cuts: fewer pensions from the occupational pension scheme and the abolition of child and widow's pensions.
