Bern and Rome reach agreement in home office dispute for cross-border commuters

La Suisse et l'Italie sont parvenues à un accord sur l'imposition du travail à domicile. À partir de 2024, les frontaliers pourront travailler jusqu'à 25 % de leur temps de travail à domicile.
La ministre des finances Karin Keller-Sutter et son homologue italien Giorgetti ont signé une déclaration en ce sens vendredi à l'issue d'une vidéoconférence, comme l'a annoncé le Département fédéral des finances (DFF).
If the maximum limit of 25 percent is adhered to, everything will remain the same - both for the state, which is responsible for collecting taxes, and for the status of cross-border commuters.
Keller-Sutter praised the agreement reached, according to the press release. The solution is "good for Swiss companies and their employees". It brings clarity and certainty in dealing with the taxation of home offices, "reduces the administrative burden and guarantees equal treatment for all cross-border commuters affected".
