Retour au fil d'actualité

The Buskers Festival is a unique mix of music, dance, theatre, acrobatics, poetry and quirkiness that has been delighting audiences for 20 years. It was started by Christine and Lisette Wyss in 2004, when the city of Bern was in need of a summer event. Now, around 60,000 people attend the festival each year. The festival is known for its lack of star performers, instead relying on a variety of acts from all over the world. The performers are paid directly by the audience with ‘hat money’. This year, the festival will feature seven puppet troupes, as well as a range of musical acts from flamenco to garage punk, funk, folk, rap and rock and roll. There will also be a large installation on the Münsterplatz that will be decorated and played with by the audience. The Buskers Festival will take place from 10th to 12th August.nnnnnn
