Berset Wants No Revolution But Progress

Health Minister Alain Berset has criticised the Swiss Parliament for not doing enough to reduce healthcare costs. He said that while the monitoring of services had been approved by the National and Council of States, the Parliament had refused to incorporate the findings into existing tariff systems, which would have had a cost-saving effect. Berset argued that the healthcare system does not need a revolution, but progress, which is being resisted by many forces. He called on the fragmented actors to agree on solutions.
