The Competec Group, which includes the online store Brack and the wholesaler Alltron, has appointed Roman Reichelt as Chief Marketing & Communications Officer. He will take up the newly created position on the Executive Board on September 16.
The 42-year-old succeeds Head of Marketing Simon Thoma, who is leaving the Group at his own request after six years, the Group announced on Friday. In his new role, Reichelt will also report directly to Competec Group CEO Stefan Fraude.
Most recently, Reichelt worked as a freelance marketing strategy consultant. Prior to that, he worked as Global Chief Marketing Officer at Credit Suisse and as Head of Marketing/Communications at Migros.
For example, he launched the digital cooking club "Migusto" and the gnome "Finn" in Migros' Christmas campaign. He has also reportedly received a number of specialist awards for his projects.
Last year, the Competec Group generated sales of CHF 1.14 billion with around 1,300 employees.
