City of Nyon VD also cancels public viewing due to storm alarm

The city of Nyon VD has canceled the open-air broadcast of the European Football Championship match between Switzerland and Italy on Saturday evening due to a severe weather warning. It also closed a swimming pool at 3 p.m. because of the warning.
In a statement on Saturday, the authorities of the town on Lake Geneva justified the move with the forecast of hailstorms, strong winds and heavy rain showers. The authorities are calling on the local population to stay at home on Saturday afternoon.
The city of Geneva had previously announced that it was withdrawing its permit for all open-air events on Saturday afternoon due to the storm warning.
