The Graubünden government provided information on Tuesday about the ongoing work in Misox. So far, 220 buildings have been reported to the building insurance company. It expects the damage in Misox and the Calanca Valley to amount to between 8 and 15 million francs.
The two cantonal councillors Marcus Caduff (center) and Peter Peyer (SP) visited the site to see for themselves, the Graubünden government announced on Tuesday at its monthly meeting with the media in Chur.
Numerous cantonal agencies are involved in the ongoing clean-up and construction work. The A13 and the cantonal road to Mesocco could be partially passable again by July 5.
At the end of the week before last, a violent storm caused flooding and landslides in the southern Graubünden valley. The A13 freeway was swept away by the Moesa River over a length of 200 meters. A mudslide hit the village of Sorte in the municipality of Lostallo, destroying three houses, roads and other infrastructure.
