Retour au fil d'actualité

The Aargau-based traditional company Hero is considering the closure of its jam packaging facility in Lenzburg, which would affect 55 employees. On the same day, Hero held a consultation with all employees on-site to make the best decision about the future of the production site. Regardless of the outcome of the consultation, the Hero name will remain in Lenzburg, as the global headquarters and Hero Switzerland will stay in the city. Founded in 1886 in Lenzburg, Hero currently employs around 4000 people on five continents, with around 200 still working in Lenzburg. The Aargau government is aware of the plans, according to the Department of Economics and Internal Affairs. Although the decision is not yet definitive and the consultation process must be completed first, the director of economics, Dieter Egli, expressed his regret for the planned layoffs. "Something is being lost."
