The Swiss People's Party (SVP) is holding a special party meeting in Küssnacht SZ on Saturday to discuss the issue of migration, which they believe has become "out of control". The delegates will be asked to approve a popular initiative called "No 10 Million Switzerland!" which aims to prevent the population from growing to more than 10 million people. The initiative will be presented by National Councilor Thomas Matter (ZH). Other speakers include SVP President Marco Chiesa (TI), National Councilors Gregor Rutz (ZH) and Andreas Glarner (AG) and Bern Government Councilor Pierre Alain Schnegg. They will mainly discuss the failed asylum policy, which has led to chaos, and how it is a central election campaign issue for the SVP in the upcoming federal elections in the fall. No federal councilors will be speaking at the meeting.
