Demand for Price Reduction for Commuters from Ticino

After the Gotthard Base Tunnel was closed due to a derailment, criticism of the SBB's actions has been raised. Pro Bahn is calling for a price concession for commuters from Ticino travelling north. This demand is supported by Ticino National Councillors. The SBB must be accommodating to customers who have suffered a loss, said the media spokesperson for Pro Bahn Switzerland Guido Schoch. This includes refunding tickets for travellers to Italy. Additionally, a solution is needed for Ticino customers who regularly commute to the north and have to pass through the Gotthard. This solution must take into account both route and general subscriptions. This demand is supported by Ticino National Councillors Bruno Storni (SP) and Lorenzo Quadri (Lega dei Ticinesi). Quadri states that customers have paid for a service that is no longer provided in this form.nnnnnnnnnn
