In the canton of St. Gallen, the Swiss People's Party (SVP) gained one seat in the National Council elections, while the Green Liberal Party (GLP) lost one seat. The final result of the elections in St. Gallen was 12 seats in total, with all parties that achieved a voter share of at least three percent being taken into account. The SVP was the largest party, with five seats, followed by the Social Democratic Party (SP) with four seats, the GLP with two seats, the Christian Democratic People's Party (CVP) with one seat, and the Liberal Party (FDP) with one seat. The Green Party (GPS) and the Conservative Democratic Party (BDP) both failed to reach the three percent threshold.
