Retour au fil d'actualité

Economiesuisse, the Swiss economic association, has called on the political parties to show reform will and courage to find concrete solutions ahead of the Swiss federal elections. In particular, the association has urged the country to make progress in its European policy. Domestically, the framework for a liberal and sustainable market economy should be improved. Economiesuisse President Christoph Mäder warned that the country is resting on its laurels, which could be dangerous if it wants to remain a leading economic power. He also rejected the international trend towards industrial policy, arguing that competition, not selective industry promotion, leads to innovation. Brigitte Breisacher, CEO of Alpnach Schränke + Küchen AG, criticised the excessive regulations imposed on small and medium-sized businesses, and called for less regulation and more investment in the dual education system. A panel discussion was held with the presidents of the centre and FDP, Gerhard Pfister and Thierry Burkart, SP co-president Mattea Meyer and SVP faction leader Thomas Aeschi. Swiss President Alain Berset also sent a message of greeting from the Federal Council. At the same time, Economiesuisse's members' meeting took place, with the Swiss Startup Association (SSA) and the Swiss Media Association (VSM) joining the association as new members.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
